The AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course covers the following: (Geared for workplace training)
The following is the information for the Heartsaver/AED and First Aid course. On completion each student will receive a 2 year certification card that will be sent via mail approximately 2-4 weeks after completion.
The Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. In this course, students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult, child, and infant CPR and AED use.
Course Covers: The key changes reflecting the new science from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

Course Materials
All material needed for each student to practice hands on procedures. (i.e.) 2×4 dressings, gauze, ace wraps, items for splinting, adult and infant manikins ect.
The course takes approximately 5-6 hrs to complete. There is a great amount of information to go over during this time. Each student will have the opportunity to perform each skill and become proficient enough to manage any given emergency should they become involved with one.
